Inspired by the story of Noah’s Ark, Refuge Islands reimagines pedestrian refuge islands as symbolic landscapes of displacement. This mixed-media illustration project features four characters: a dove, two penguins, and an ostrich, each embodying a story of isolation, longing, disillusionment, and hope experienced by displaced individuals in unfamiliar lands.
