Taoism refers to the spiritual dwelling place of humans as the Yuan Chen Gong (Primary Soul Palace). It is the place where the soul—which is the true self—resides. In addition to external growth and environmental changes in life, a person’s status and connections in all aspects are also manifested in the Yuan Chen Gong. The internal and external are connected, reflecting each other throughout life’s journey. Hence, the most fundamental way to achieve external growth and change is through introspection, management, and cultivation of the Yuan Chen Gong. When the mind is at peace and settled, the exterior fears no wind or rain.
