Commissioned by Artbox Singapore and INVADE.CO, Monkiddo’s latest project features two 6-meter-long murals designed to immerse viewers in a vibrant celebration of Singaporean culture and the Artbox fiesta. Beyond traditional illustration, Monkiddo integrates augmented reality (AR) technology to create an interactive experience for audiences. The murals depict a bustling scene where Soso, Monkiddo’s main character, embarks on a cosmic journey aboard his UFO. As Soso explores, he encounters a lively atmosphere filled with engaging activities inspired by Artbox, including Street Chess, KTV, and VR Games. The artwork radiates Singaporean elements such as lotus flowers, iconic skyscrapers, hawker centers, and the iconic Merlion, capturing the essence of the city’s vibrant culture. Designed to evoke the feeling of home, the murals invite viewers to participate in the festivities, fostering a sense of community and connection.
