National Museum of Comics
This collaboration reveals that the National Museum of Comics is located in the former Taichung Prison, a site filled with stories and lingering thoughts. Across cultures, we often place our desire for justice in “deities” or “ghosts,” hoping justice will be served, like Taiwan’s famous ghost “Lin Tou Jie.” Growing up immersed in Taiwanese folklore, I envision a “Yokai Parade” of Taiwanese monsters, ghosts, and deities representing various tales. A venue built during the Japanese colonial period themed around comics feels perfectly suited for this.
